Custom Police Embroidered Badges for Uniforms & Law Enforcement

Need custom police embroidered badges that look official, stay readable, and hold up on uniforms, tactical vests, jackets or bags? We produce professional embroidered police patches and law enforcement insignia to your specification. You’ll receive a digital mock-up first, so the layout, colors and finish are confirmed before production.

    Why choose embroidered police patches?

    • Professional uniform look – embroidery gives a premium, textured finish.
    • Clear visibility – ideal for emblems, unit identification, names and ranks (when sized correctly).
    • Built for daily wear – designed for repeated use on work clothing and gear.
    • Made to spec – shape, colors, border and backing tailored to the application.

Backing options (choose what fits your use)

    • Iron-on (standard) – convenient for positioning; you can optionally stitch it down for maximum security.
    • Sew-on (no glue) – easier to stitch and flexible on garments.
    • Velcro / hook & loop – removable patches; ideal when roles, units or garments change.
    • Self-adhesive (temporary) – for short-term placement; easy to remove after use.

    Border types: heat-cut vs merrowed

The border affects both appearance and fit on clothing:

    • Heat-cut / laser cut – flatter, sharper, and works well for complex shapes and clean edges.
    • Merrowed edge – classic rounded stitched border, best for regular shapes (can look dominant on very small badges).

Tip: for Velcro-backed patches, a merrowed edge is often preferred for durability; for iron-on applications, heat-cut tends to sit flatter.

Artwork tips for great embroidery results

    • Keep text readable – very small lettering may need simplification or resizing.
    • No gradients – embroidery uses thread blocks; we translate gradients into an embroidered-friendly version.
    • Color planning – standard production supports up to 9 colors; more may be possible if needed.

If your artwork is complex (poster-style or photo-like), we can simplify it into an embroidery-ready layout while keeping the design intent.

How it works (3 simple steps)

    1. Send your design (logo, emblem, name/rank layout, or a concept).
    2. Receive a digital mock-up within 24 hours for approval.
    3. We produce & deliver your badges across the EU after confirmation.

    Customer feedback

    • “The badges have just arrived… they are fantastic! Really TOP!”
    • “Great production and super fast delivery!”
    • “Everyone was very impressed with the quality.”

Iron-on instructions (if you choose iron-on backing)

    • Set iron to approx. 150–190°C (depending on garment fabric). No steam.
    • Press firmly for 30–40 seconds. If possible, press from the back for ~20 seconds.
    • Use a thin cotton cloth as protection. For maximum hold, stitch a few points after ironing.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1) What’s the difference between embroidered and woven police patches?
Embroidered patches have a raised, textured look and are great for classic uniform-style badges. Woven patches are flatter and can show very fine details and small text more sharply. If your design has tiny lettering, woven may be the better choice.

    2) Can I order police patches with Velcro (hook & loop)?
Yes. We can supply your patches with Velcro backing. The hook side is stitched onto the patch, and the loop side can be supplied as well so you can attach it to garments, vests or bags.

    3) Which edge should I choose: heat-cut (laser cut) or merrowed?
Heat-cut edges are flatter and cleaner, and they work well for complex shapes and sharp corners. Merrowed edges are a classic rounded stitched border, best for regular shapes. For Velcro patches, many customers prefer merrowed for durability; for iron-on patches, heat-cut often sits flatter.

    4) Can you add names, ranks, unit text or numbers?
Yes. We can customize patches with names, ranks, unit identifiers and numbering. For best readability, we may recommend a minimum text size or small layout adjustments.

    5) How many thread colors can you embroider?
Standard production supports up to 9 thread colors. If your design needs more colors, we can review the artwork and advise the best approach.

    6) Do you need a finished design file to start?
Not necessarily. You can send a logo, reference image or a concept description. We’ll prepare a digital mock-up for approval before production.

    7) What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
The minimum order quantity for this product is 50 pieces.

    8) Are embroidered police patches washable and durable?
They are designed for regular wear on uniforms and work clothing. Durability depends on the garment, washing conditions, and the chosen backing/edge type. For maximum security, sew-on or stitching after ironing is recommended.

    9) Can you make patches for official police insignia or protected emblems?
If your design includes official insignia, crests or protected marks, please ensure you have permission from the rights holder/organization. We can produce based on approved artwork.

    10) Can you help me choose the best option for my use case?
Yes—tell us where the badge will be used (uniform, vest, jacket, bag) and whether it needs to be removable. We’ll recommend the best backing and edge type.
